ABOUT ODD

New Orleans’ own Odd the Artist is a genre-bending force—vocalist, rapper, songwriter, producer, entrepreneur, and DJ—crafting immersive soundscapes rooted in the city’s rich cultural pulse. Seamlessly blending alternative, soulful, and melodic influences with her signature “odd” edge, she creates music that feels both timeless and uncharted. Her voice moves effortlessly between vulnerability and power, while her performances transform stages into electrifying, otherworldly experiences.

Fresh off standout appearances at Jazz Fest 2025 and French Quarter Fest—where she both DJed and performed—Odd continues to expand her presence on major stages. She also brought her dynamic DJ energy to Camp Flog Gnaw, further solidifying her versatility as both a curator of vibes and a commanding performer. Her latest project, MOTHERSHIP, marks a bold new chapter: a sonic and visual world centered on the power of Motherhood, Black femininity, leadership, and creative freedom.

Odd’s journey began early. Once labeled a “problem child,” she found her voice in a second-grade rap class and honed her creativity through advanced art programs. With nothing more than a Wii mic and a 2005 MacBook, she began recording and shaping her sound—driven by a desire to prove herself and be heard. That determination led to the release of her first single, “S.E.B,” during her freshman year of high school, sparking a growing confidence that would carry her forward.

A graduate of Dillard University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Industry, Odd has since evolved into a multifaceted creative. As a producer and DJ, she’s known for moving crowds of all ages, fusing her eclectic influences with high-energy, seamless transitions.

In a world that often rewards sameness, Odd the Artist stands as a bold expression of individuality—continuing to push boundaries, build community, and redefine what it means to create from the soul of New Orleans.
