ABOUT ODD

New Orleans' own Odd the Artist, a dynamic female artist, vocalist, rapper, songwriter, producer,  entrepreneur and DJ. She weaves her enchanting musical tapestry through the heart of the city's diverse traditions. Her artistry defies conventions, blending elements of alternative, melodic, and soulful music with an undeniably 'odd' touch. With a voice that traverses emotions and melodies that linger in the soul, Odd's live performances are captivating journeys into uncharted musical landscapes. In a world of uniformity, Odd the Artist shines as a symbol of authenticity, celebrating the vibrant tapestry of sound rooted in the cultural richness of New Orleans.

Even though Odd was considered to be a ‘problem child’ in school, she excelled in her second grade rap class, and was placed in advanced art classes throughout her entire academic career. Those elective classes set Odd’s mind on what she wanted to be in life at an early age. She further developed her impeccable stage presence and musical talent in acting school, and by writing and recording songs with only “...a Wii mic and a 2005 MacBook...” Her musical career officially began during her freshman year of high school, with the release of her first single "S.E.B".  She says “ I was driven by the passion of succeeding... being looked at as an outcast, I felt that I had something to prove.” The praise of her peers gave her enough confidence to record and release more of her original songs to the world.

Odd graduated from Dillard University with a bachelor’s degree in Music Industry. She decided to take her journey forward in music by developing her skills as a producer and DJ.. She now has the ability to move crowds of ALL ages by marrying her music influences and high energy stage presence with inspiring transitions. She has performed in front of large crowds and a plethora of varying stage sizes such as BUKU FESTIVAL 2022, French Quarter Fest 2023, NOLA Gen Z Fest 2023 and House of Blues. Besides performing, she has also catered her newly equipped talent as a DJ to the likes of Tulane, Xavier, Loyola, and Dillard University. Odd is continuing to explore different ways to fulfill her passion within the music industry, so stay tuned!
